Zeta Nu Cares!
This past year, Kappa raised the most money of all the Panhellenic sororities in the Greek community-wide fundraiser: the American Cancer Society's Breast Cancer Walk through Balboa Park each Autumn.With our Olympus teammates, we also tied for 1st place at the cumulation of Greek Week's many events. Team Olympus raised a stellar sum to benefit Friends of Scott: the All-Greek philanthopy.
Kappa Kup
Kappa Kup is not just a philanthropy event that helps raise money for the San Diego Center for Children: it's also a major highlight of our Spring Quarter! It is a soccer tournament setting fraternity against fraternity (but only for the length of the game, of course!). Anyone can come and enjoy the World Cup-level athleticism, sportsmanship, cheering, and sense of community.Have we mentioned the scrumptious food? Hamburgers and veggie burgers, hot dogs, chips, and sodas galore. With all the cheering and spirit, bright posters, balloons, gatorades flying in and out of the field, screaming fans, sweaty athletes and juicy burgers, you might not be able to recognize that you're still at UCSD. But indeed, Kappa Kup takes place here on our own Muir Fields.
Possibly the most memorable part of the day is a part that isn't being scrutinized by referees or lauded by screaming fans. The children of the San Diego Center for Children join us in the sun for the afternoon. The kids we've met have been so loving, gracious, and fun. Their presence at Kappa Kup more than compensates for the work we put in, and we are reminded and inspired to continue to support the SD Center for Children. We are looking forward to the event coming up this year and the plays and cheers, stinging losses and sweet victories that make each Kappa Kup unforgettable.
Preuss Prom Dress Drive
Kappa believes the young women of the Preuss School deserve to experience the tradition shared by high schoolers across the country and celebrate their wonderful success in high school... without suffering the financial burden of buying a dress. We have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to give this memory to hundreds of girls every Spring since we began the drive. With your help, we can continue for years to come!| Email: |
